Description
The old country kitchen shown during the canning season. It kitchen is part of the Living History Farm in Conway South Carolina. A beautiful farm that shows how life was lived between 1900 and 1955 in Horry Country, South Carolina. Guests on this working farm can observe and participate in activities that would have been commonplace on traditional family farms. Plowing with mules, making lye soap, grinding grits, blacksmithing, curing meat, preserving vegetables, milking cows, and harvesting crops are only a few hands-on activities the farm offers. There is not charge for admission. Lots of fun and they do have a wonderful country store that sells strawberry and peach cider, grits, fresh veggies and a host of homemade goods.
