Description
A garden pathway through Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, USA. Brookgreen Gardens is the sight of 4 original rice plantations that housed over 2000 slaves originally belonging to the Alston family. In later years it was purchased by Anna and Archer Huntington. It was donated by them to the state of South Carolina to remain a preserve along with the land they owned directly across from Brookgreen, now called Huntington Beach State Park. Many of Anna's famous sculptures are seen at Brookgreen by people all over the world.
