Description
This is a sight seen on a regular basis at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Alligator's are fresh water reptiles, however it is not rare that the photographers who go to Huntington Beach will come to the rescue on an alligator crossing the road to get from the pond to the salt water marsh to hunt for fish. When they cross the causeway us regulars always go out in the road to stop traffic to insure the alligators make it across safely. It is always a thrill for visitors to the area to have this experience such as the SUV in the background. It is a memory they will take home with them forever.

Amazing image Kathy! Something we will never see here in the desert, lol!...f/v
Kathy Baccari replied:
LOL Donna, in the desert at least you would be able to see em comming. More than once I have been no more than 2 feet from those jaws as they were coming up out of the brush without realizing it. It gets a bit scary at times. Thanks again. :)

Thanks so much Marvin. I really appreciate the comment and support. Isn't it cool to see this. We unfortunately lost a few of these amazing reptiles, but us photographers do what we can to keep accidents from happening. :)
